Made with buttery crescent dough, crispy bacon, caramelized maple-brown sugar topping, and a touch of spice, this addictively delicious snack is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a party appetizer. You won’t be able to stop at just one bite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (or puff pastry)
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ tsp black pepper (optional, for a little kick)
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for spice)
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ tsp flaky sea salt (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat & Prepare the Dough

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil (spray lightly with cooking spray).
  3. Roll out the crescent roll dough, pinching the seams together to form a solid sheet.

Step 2: Add the Toppings

  1. Brush the dough with melted butter.
  2. Drizzle maple syrup evenly over the dough.
  3. Sprinkle brown sugar, black pepper, and cayenne (if using) over the top.
  4. Evenly distribute the crumbled bacon across the surface.

Step 3: Bake

  1. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown and caramelized.
  2. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with flaky sea salt for extra flavor.

Step 4: Cool & Serve

  1. Let cool for 5–10 minutes (it will crisp up as it cools).
  2. Cut into squares or break into pieces and enjoy!

Notes

  • Extra Crispy: Use puff pastry instead of crescent dough for an extra flaky texture.
  • Spicy-Sweet Option: Add a drizzle of hot honey for a delicious twist.
  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • Serving Ideas: Pair with brunch dishes, serve as an appetizer, or crumble over pancakes!
