Marry Me Shrimp Pasta is a creamy, flavorful dish featuring tender shrimp in a rich sun-dried tomato and garlic cream sauce tossed with pasta. It’s an indulgent, romantic meal perfect for special occasions or date nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or linguine)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add sun-dried tomatoes and cook for 1–2 minutes.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stir to combine, and bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Cook for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat. Add cooked pasta and mix until evenly combined.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
  • Add spinach or mushrooms for extra vegetables.
  • Use rotini or penne pasta if preferred.
