Mexican Paletas Popsicles are refreshing, homemade frozen treats made with fresh fruit, cream, or water-based ingredients. These vibrant popsicles come in a variety of flavors, from tangy mango and lime to creamy coconut and strawberry.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh fruit (e.g., mango, strawberry, pineapple, or watermelon), chopped
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup water or fruit juice (for fruit-based paletas)
  • 1/2 cup milk or cream (for creamy paletas)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (optional, for brightness)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine fresh fruit, sugar, liquid (water, juice, or milk/cream), lime juice (if using), and salt. Blend until smooth.
  2. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness as needed.
  3. Pour the mixture into popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top for expansion.
  4. Insert sticks and freeze for at least 4–6 hours, or until completely solid.
  5. To release, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds and gently remove the popsicles.

Notes

  • Combine fruits for unique flavor blends like strawberry-lime or mango-pineapple.
  • For texture, add small fruit chunks to the molds before pouring in the blended mixture.
  • Use coconut milk or condensed milk for a richer, creamy variation.
