A rich, creamy, and comforting casserole made with shredded chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, and a buttery Ritz cracker topping – perfect for a hearty family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Stir in shredded chicken and 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
  4. Spread the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Top with remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter.
  7. Sprinkle the cracker mixture evenly over the casserole.
  8. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, or until hot and bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream for a lighter version.
  • Use rotisserie chicken for quick prep.
  • Add cooked broccoli or peas for extra veggies.
