Mini Apple Pie Wonton Cups are a fun and easy twist on classic apple pie, featuring crispy baked wonton wrappers filled with a warm, cinnamon-spiced apple filling. Perfect for parties, snacks, or bite-sized desserts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 medium apples, peeled, cored, and finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Cooking spray
  • Optional: whipped cream or caramel sauce for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a mini muffin tin with cooking spray.
  2. Press one wonton wrapper into each cup of the mini muffin tin to form a cup shape. Lightly spray the wrappers with cooking spray.
  3. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp. Let cool.
  4. Meanwhile, melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced apples, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and vanilla extract.
  5. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 6–8 minutes or until apples are tender and the mixture is syrupy. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  6. Spoon apple filling into the cooled wonton cups.
  7. Top with whipped cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce if desired. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use tart apples like Granny Smith for a more classic flavor balance.
  • Wonton cups can be baked ahead and stored in an airtight container.
  • These are best assembled just before serving to keep the cups crisp.
