These Mini Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups are the perfect bite-sized treat! Made with soft and chewy cookie dough baked into cups and topped with your favorite candy, they’re ideal for parties, holidays, or just a fun dessert for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Cookie Cups:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips

For the Topping:

  • Assorted candies (e.g., mini peanut butter cups, M&M’s, Rolos, or Hershey’s Kisses)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a mini muffin tin or line it with paper liners.
  2. Make the Cookie Dough:
    • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
    • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  3. Form the Cookie Cups:
    • Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough into each mini muffin tin cavity. Gently press the dough down to create an even layer.
  4. Bake the Cookie Cups:
    • Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are slightly puffed.
  5. Add the Candy Topping:
    • Remove the cookie cups from the oven and immediately press a candy of your choice into the center of each cookie cup.
    • Let the cookie cups cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Serve as is or decorate further with a drizzle of melted chocolate or sprinkles for extra flair!

Notes

  • Use a variety of candies to create a colorful and fun assortment.
  • Store the cookie cups in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
  • If the cookie cups harden slightly after cooling, microwave them for a few seconds to soften before serving.
