This Mississippi Chicken is a super easy, flavorful, and tender slow cooker meal made with just 5 ingredients! It’s tangy, buttery, and slightly spicy—perfect for serving over mashed potatoes, rice, or in sandwiches.

Ingredients

  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 1 packet (1 oz / 28 g) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet (1 oz / 28 g) au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, sliced
  • 68 pepperoncini peppers (plus 2 tbsp of juice for extra flavor)


Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Chicken

  • Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.

2️⃣ Add Seasonings & Butter

  • Sprinkle ranch seasoning and au jus mix over the chicken.
  • Add butter slices on top.
  • Place pepperoncini peppers around the chicken and pour in 2 tbsp of pepper juice.

3️⃣ Cook Low & Slow

  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 4 hours.
  • Once done, shred the chicken using two forks and mix it with the juices.

4️⃣ Serve & Enjoy!

  • Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, egg noodles, or in a sandwich with toasted buns.

Notes

🔥 Spicier? Add more pepperoncini or a dash of hot sauce.
🧄 Extra Flavor? Toss in minced garlic or onion slices before cooking.
