Chewy, thick, and delicious Monster Cookies loaded with oats, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and colorful M&M’s — a perfect sweet treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups M&M’s candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the oats, baking soda, salt, and flour.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips and M&M’s candies.
  7. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden but centers are still soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra chewy cookies, slightly underbake and let them finish on the baking sheet.
  • You can substitute peanut butter with almond or sunflower seed butter for a different flavor.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
