These Mountain Dew Biscuits are soft, buttery, and slightly sweet. Made with just a few simple ingredients, this quick and easy recipe uses Mountain Dew for a unique twist, giving the biscuits a tender and fluffy texture. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a side dish for dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups Bisquick mix (or other biscuit baking mix)
  • 1 cup Mountain Dew
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick mix, sour cream, and Mountain Dew. Mix until just combined into a sticky dough.

Shape the Biscuits:

  1. Lightly flour a surface and turn out the dough. Gently pat it down to about 1-inch thickness.
  2. Use a biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass to cut out biscuits. Place them snugly in the prepared baking dish.

Add Butter and Bake:

  1. Brush the tops of the biscuits with half of the melted butter.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.

Serve:

  1. Remove the biscuits from the oven and brush with the remaining melted butter. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftover biscuits in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheat in the oven for best results.
  • Add flavor: For a savory twist, stir in shredded cheese or chopped herbs.
  • Shortcut: Instead of cutting the biscuits, drop spoonfuls of the dough directly into the baking dish.
