Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup Nutella
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Mix in the Nutella until fully incorporated.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing just until combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  7. Using a cookie scoop, drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until edges are set but centers look slightly underbaked.
  9. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes if you want thicker cookies.
  • Drizzle extra Nutella on top for more indulgence.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
