Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups chicken broth (or water)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
  • ½ cup whole milk (for extra creaminess)

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients in a Pan:

    • In a large deep skillet or pan, add fettuccine, heavy cream, chicken broth, butter, garlic, salt, and black pepper.
    • Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent the pasta from sticking.
  2. Cook the Pasta:

    • Let the pasta cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring frequently, until the noodles are tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  3. Add Cheese & Milk:

    • Reduce heat to low and stir in Parmesan cheese and whole milk.
    • Continue stirring until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  4. Finish & Serve:

    • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
    • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a protein boost, add grilled chicken, shrimp, or crispy bacon.
  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half or whole milk for heavy cream.
  • For extra flavor, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving.
