A quick and delicious one-pot meal that combines the flavors of a classic cheeseburger with creamy pasta for a satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta (elbow or rotini)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil (if using), then cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté for 2–3 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in beef broth, diced tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, and pasta. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is cooked through.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • Use whole wheat or gluten-free pasta if desired.
  • Top with pickles or chopped fresh parsley for extra flavor.
