- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 lb Italian sausage or ground beef
- 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups marinara or pizza sauce
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 8 oz uncooked pasta (penne or rotini)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
- Heat olive oil in a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat. Add sausage and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add onion and garlic, sauté for 2–3 minutes until softened.
- Stir in marinara sauce, broth, uncooked pasta, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.

- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.
Notes
- Use mini pepperoni for easier mixing and distribution.
- Swap sausage for mushrooms or bell peppers for a vegetarian version.
- Add olives or other favorite pizza toppings for customization.
