Ingredients
Scale
36 Oreo cookies (about 1 standard package)
8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
12 oz (340 g) semi-sweet or white chocolate, melted
Optional for decoration:
Sprinkles, crushed Oreos, or a drizzle of melted chocolate
Instructions
Prepare the Oreo mixture:
In a food processor, pulse the Oreos into fine crumbs. Reserve 2 tablespoons of crumbs for decoration if desired.
In a large bowl, mix the Oreo crumbs with the softened cream cheese until fully combined.
Shape the truffles:
Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Refrigerate for at least 20-30 minutes, or until firm.
Coat the truffles:
Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring until smooth.
Using a fork or toothpick, dip each truffle into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Let the excess chocolate drip off, then place the truffle back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
Decorate and chill:
Immediately sprinkle the reserved Oreo crumbs, sprinkles, or drizzle additional melted chocolate over the coated truffles for decoration.
Refrigerate for 1 hour, or until the chocolate is set.
Serve or store:
Enjoy immediately, or store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Notes
You can use white, milk, or dark chocolate for coating, depending on your preference.
Add a splash of vanilla or peppermint extract to the mixture for a flavor twist.
