Oven Fried Feta Rolls with Chili Honey are crispy, golden phyllo rolls filled with creamy feta and herbs, baked to perfection and drizzled with a spicy-sweet chili honey glaze. They make an irresistible appetizer or party snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 sheets phyllo dough, thawed
  • 1 1/2 cups crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (for brushing)
  • For the chili honey:
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 12 tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix feta cheese, parsley, and black pepper.
  3. Place one sheet of phyllo on a clean surface and brush lightly with olive oil or butter. Top with a second sheet and brush again. Cut into 3 equal strips lengthwise.
  4. Spoon 1–2 tablespoons of the feta mixture near one end of each strip. Fold the sides inward and roll up like a spring roll, sealing the edge with beaten egg.
  5. Repeat with remaining phyllo and filling. Place rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush tops with more olive oil or butter. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden and crisp.
  7. Meanwhile, heat honey, chili flakes, and vinegar or lemon juice in a small saucepan over low heat for 1–2 minutes. Do not boil. Let cool slightly.
  8. Drizzle warm chili honey over hot rolls before serving or serve it on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • Work quickly with phyllo to prevent drying—cover unused sheets with a damp towel.
  • Use a mix of feta and ricotta for a creamier filling if desired.
  • Adjust chili flakes in honey to match your spice preference.
  • These rolls are best served warm and crispy right out of the oven.
