1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed
1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the trimmed asparagus on the baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic if using. Toss to coat evenly.
Spread the asparagus in a single layer.
Roast for 12–15 minutes, or until tender and slightly crispy at the tips.
Remove from the oven and drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with Parmesan if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
Thinner spears cook faster, so adjust cooking time accordingly.
For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes before roasting.
Leftovers can be used in salads, omelets, or pasta dishes.
