Pan-Fried Shrimp is a quick and flavorful dish where shrimp are seasoned and seared to perfection in a hot skillet. It’s ideal for a light meal, appetizer, or a topping for salads and pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes if using.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, just until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque.
  5. Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan — cook shrimp in batches if needed.
  • Use tail-on shrimp for presentation or tail-off for convenience.
  • Great served over rice, pasta, or tossed in a salad.
