Ingredients

Scale

For the meat layer:

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Parmesan garlic sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups (480 ml) whole milk
  • 1 cup (100 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Additional layers:

  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked according to package instructions
  • 2 cups (200 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup (50 g) ricotta cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the meat layer:
    • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
    • Add the onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika to the skillet. Cook until the onion is soft.
    • Stir in the crumbled bacon, season with salt and pepper, and set aside.
  • Make the Parmesan garlic sauce:
    • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
    • Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture thickens.
    • Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Assemble the lasagna:
    • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • Spread a thin layer of the Parmesan garlic sauce at the bottom of the dish.
    • Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Top with a third of the meat mixture, a drizzle of Parmesan garlic sauce, and a sprinkle of mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
    • Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a generous layer of cheese on top.
  • Bake the lasagna:
    • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  • Serve:
    • Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add sliced pickles between the layers to mimic a cheeseburger.
  • You can prepare the lasagna in advance and refrigerate it; just increase the baking time by 10 minutes if baking from cold.
