These soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies are bursting with red, white, and blue sprinkles and M&M candies—perfect for patriotic holidays. They’re easy to make, fun to decorate, and always a crowd-pleaser!
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup red, white, and blue M&M candies
1/4 cup red, white, and blue sprinkles
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth.
Beat in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips, M&M candies, and sprinkles.
Scoop dough into 1.5-tablespoon balls and place them 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.
Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
For an extra festive look, press a few M&Ms and sprinkles on top of each cookie before baking.
Make sure the butter is not too hot when mixing or it could melt the sugar and make the dough greasy.
