12 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
12 oz white chocolate chips
10 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped
1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
1 teaspoon peppermint extract (optional)
Instructions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
Spread the melted chocolate evenly onto the prepared baking sheet. Chill in the fridge for 10–15 minutes until set.
Melt the white chocolate chips the same way, then stir in peppermint extract if using.
Fold in half of the chopped Oreos and half of the crushed peppermint candies into the white chocolate.
Spread the white chocolate mixture evenly over the hardened dark chocolate layer.
Sprinkle the remaining Oreos and peppermint on top, pressing lightly to stick.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until fully set. Break into pieces and serve or store in an airtight container.
Notes
Use parchment paper to make bark removal and cleanup easy.
Chop or crush candy canes using a food processor or by hand in a sealed bag.
Store in a cool place or refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
