Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (190 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 10 Oreos, crushed
  • 1/2 cup (90 g) white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

2. Make the cookie dough

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
  2. Beat in the egg and peppermint extract until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

3. Add the mix-ins

  1. Gently fold in the crushed Oreos, white chocolate chips, and crushed peppermint candies.

4. Shape the cookies

  1. Scoop the dough into balls (about 1.5 tablespoons each) and place them on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

5. Bake

  1. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.
  2. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

6. Serve

  • Enjoy these cookies as they are, or with a cup of hot cocoa or coffee for a festive treat!

  • Storage: Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Variations: Add a drizzle of melted white chocolate over the cookies for extra flair.
