12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
24 slices pepperoni
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Slice the slider buns in half horizontally (keep tops and bottoms connected). Place bottom halves in the baking dish.
Spread marinara sauce over the bottom buns.
Layer with pepperoni slices and shredded mozzarella cheese.
Place top halves of buns back on and press down gently.
In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush mixture over the tops of the buns.
Sprinkle with grated Parmesan if using.
Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
Cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
Notes
