Ingredients
Scale
4 boneless pork chops
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 packet French onion soup mix
1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of onion soup
¼ cup milk
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Season Pork Chops: Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Sear Pork Chops: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and brown them on both sides. Once browned, remove them from the skillet and set aside.
Prepare Baking Dish: Arrange the thinly sliced potatoes evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Layer Pork Chops: Place the seared pork chops on top of the layer of potatoes.
Mix Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the French onion soup mix, cream of onion soup, and milk. Stir until well blended.
Assemble Dish: Pour the soup mixture over the pork chops and potatoes, ensuring everything is evenly covered.
Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the potatoes are tender and the pork chops are cooked through.
Serve: Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your Pork Chop Supreme!
Notes
Variations: For added flavor, consider sprinkling shredded cheddar cheese over the top before baking. You can also add sliced onions or mushrooms between the layers for extra depth.
Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave until warmed through.
