2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp sugar or honey
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce (optional)
1 tbsp chopped green onions (optional garnish)
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar or honey.
Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes or hot sauce if using. Stir well to combine.
Let the sauce sit for 5–10 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
Garnish with chopped green onions before serving, if desired.
Serve as a dipping sauce with potstickers, dumplings, or spring rolls.
Notes
Adjust spice level by varying the amount of red pepper flakes or hot sauce.
This sauce can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
