Pull-Apart Pizza Bread is a fun and flavorful appetizer where soft bread cubes are tossed in pizza-inspired cheese, sauce, and toppings, then baked until golden and irresistibly cheesy—perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large round bread loaf (such as sourdough or pull-apart roll), cut into 1–2 inch cubes, leaving the bottom intact
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara
  • 1/4 cup chopped pepperoni or cooked sausage
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut bread loaf into 1–2 inch cubes, leaving base intact so it holds together.
  3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter and minced garlic.
  4. Gently pull apart the cubes and drizzle garlic-butter mixture evenly over the bread, working it into crevices.
  5. Drizzle pizza sauce throughout, tucking some inside the bread.
  6. Stuff shredded mozzarella, Parmesan, pepperoni (and olives, if using) into the gaps between cubes.
  7. Sprinkle dried Italian seasoning over the top.
  8. Bake 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and bread edges are crispy.
  9. Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley or basil. Serve warm—pull apart the cheesy chunks and enjoy!

Notes

  • Choose a loaf with a sturdy crust to hold fillings well.
  • Don’t overfill to ensure even baking and structure.
  • Mix different cheeses—like cheddar or provolone—for added flavor.
  • Add veggies like diced bell peppers or jalapeños for variety.
  • Serve with extra marinara on the side for dipping.
