Ingredients

Scale
For the Pizza Dough:
  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornmeal (for dusting the pan)
For the Toppings:

  • ½ cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup smoked pulled pork
  • ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup pickled jalapeños (optional, for heat)
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for extra smoky flavor)
  • ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for extra richness)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven (or pizza stone) to 475°F. If using a Traeger or pellet grill, preheat to 450°F for wood-fired flavor.

  2. Prepare the dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle a baking sheet or pizza stone with cornmeal to prevent sticking.

  3. Assemble the pizza:

    • Spread BBQ sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a ½-inch border.
    • Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
    • Evenly distribute the pulled pork over the cheese.
    • Add sliced red onions and pickled jalapeños.
    • Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and optional cheddar cheese on top.
  4. Bake the pizza: Transfer to the oven or grill and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.

  5. Finish & serve: Remove from the oven and let the pizza rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro, slice, and serve hot!

Notes

  • No pizza dough? Use naan, flatbread, or a pre-made crust for a quick version.
  • Want a smoky crust? Cook the pizza on a Traeger or pellet grill for that extra wood-fired flavor!

  • Great for leftovers! Use leftover smoked pork from your last BBQ for a quick and tasty meal.
