Festive fruit kabobs layered with strawberries, blueberries, and bananas for a colorful, healthy patriotic snack or dessert.

  • 12 large strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 2 large bananas, sliced
  • 1012 wooden skewers
  • Optional drizzle: 2 tbsp honey mixed with 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prep fruit: hull and halve strawberries, wash blueberries, peel and slice bananas into ½‑inch rounds.
  2. To prevent banana browning, toss slices lightly in honey‑lemon mixture (if using).
  3. Slide fruit onto skewers in a red‑white‑blue pattern: strawberry, banana, blueberry, repeating until full.
  4. Arrange kabobs on a platter and serve immediately.
  5. For best results, assemble just before serving or chill up to 1 hour before.

Notes

  • Use firm, ripe fruit for easy skewering.
  • Swap pineapple chunks for an alternate white layer.
