Roasted Garlic in the Air Fryer is an easy and fast way to achieve sweet, caramelized garlic cloves with minimal effort. Perfect for spreading on bread, mixing into sauces, or enhancing your favorite dishes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole head of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. Peel away the loose outer layers of the garlic bulb, keeping the head intact.
  3. Slice about 1/4 inch off the top of the garlic head to expose the cloves.
  4. Drizzle the exposed cloves with olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt if desired.
  5. Wrap the garlic head in foil and place it in the air fryer basket.
  6. Air fry for 20–25 minutes, or until cloves are soft, golden, and caramelized.
  7. Let cool slightly, then squeeze roasted garlic from the cloves and use as desired.

Notes

  • Roasted garlic can be stored in the fridge for up to a week or frozen in small portions.
  • Add roasted garlic to mashed potatoes, pasta, or dressings for added depth of flavor.
  • Use multiple garlic heads at once to batch roast and store for later.
