Roasted Lemon Parmesan Broccoli is a simple, zesty side dish made with fresh broccoli florets, tossed in olive oil, garlic, lemon, and Parmesan, then roasted until golden and crisp-tender.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss broccoli florets with olive oil, garlic, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  3. Spread broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Roast for 20–25 minutes, turning once halfway through, until edges are crispy and browned.
  5. Remove from oven, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and lemon juice, and toss gently to coat.
  6. Serve hot as a side dish or over rice or pasta.

Notes

  • Use pre-cut broccoli to save time.
  • For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of breadcrumbs with the Parmesan.
  • Pairs well with chicken, fish, or pasta dishes.
