Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Cheese Ball:
    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
    • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
    • 1/4 cup sour cream
    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
    • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For Decoration:
    • 1/4 cup crushed pecans or crushed pretzels (for coating)
    • 2 large pretzel sticks (for antlers)
    • 1 red candy or cherry tomato (for the nose)
    • 2 candy eyes or small rounds of cream cheese/olives (for the eyes)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cheese Ball:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
    • Shape the mixture into a ball. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
  2. Decorate the Cheese Ball:
    • Once chilled, roll the cheese ball in crushed pecans or pretzels to coat the outside.
    • Place the coated cheese ball on a serving plate. Insert the pretzel sticks into the top of the cheese ball to create antlers.
    • Add candy eyes and a red candy or cherry tomato to create Rudolph’s face.
  3. Serve:
    • Serve with crackers, pretzels, or veggie sticks for dipping. Enjoy the festive fun!

Notes

  • For a nut-free version, use crushed pretzels or finely crushed crackers for the coating.
  • If you don’t have candy eyes, small pieces of olives or dots of cream cheese work just as well.
  • The cheese ball can be made up to 2 days in advance. Store in the fridge until ready to decorate and serve.
