Salmon Patties are a quick, crispy, and flavorful dish made with canned or fresh salmon, breadcrumbs, and seasonings. They’re pan-fried to golden perfection and perfect for an easy weeknight dinner or a tasty appetizer!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14.75 oz) can salmon, drained & flaked (or 2 cups cooked fresh salmon)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley or green onions
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter (for frying)

Optional Toppings & Sauces:

  • Tartar sauce or garlic aioli
  • Lemon wedges
  • Fresh dill or parsley

Instructions

1. Prepare the Salmon Mixture:

  • In a large bowl, mix salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, mayo, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, lemon juice, and parsley.
  • Stir until well combined. If the mixture is too wet, add more breadcrumbs.

2. Shape the Patties:

  • Form into 8 small patties (or 4 large ones).
  • Place on a plate and let rest for 5 minutes (this helps them hold together).

3. Cook Until Crispy:

  • Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.

4. Serve & Enjoy!

  • Serve warm with tartar sauce, lemon wedges, or a fresh salad!
