An elegant, easy-to-make appetizer featuring warm, gooey Brie wrapped in flaky puff pastry, topped with honey, chopped pistachios, and a sprinkle of sea salt.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 8 oz (≈225 g) Brie wheel or triangle, rind trimmed
  • 1 large egg + 1 tbsp milk (for egg wash)
  • 2 tbsp honey (plus extra for drizzling)
  • ¼ cup chopped pistachios
  • Pinch coarse sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 °F (220 °C).
  2. Unfold puff pastry on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Trim rind off Brie as desired and place in center of pastry.
  4. Fold pastry up and around the Brie, sealing edges underneath.
  5. Whisk egg with milk; brush pastry evenly.
  6. Bake 20–25 minutes, until golden and puffed.
  7. Remove from oven; drizzle with honey, sprinkle pistachios and sea salt.
  8. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Trimming the Brie rind helps it melt more evenly.
  • Let it rest briefly to avoid lava-like cheese flow.
  • Use coarse pistachios for texture contrast.
  • Serve with sliced baguette or crisp crackers.
