A quick and healthy side dish featuring tender sautéed mushrooms and crisp broccoli, seasoned with garlic and soy sauce for a savory flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms (cremini or button)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 4-5 minutes until they release their moisture and begin to brown.
  4. Add broccoli florets and stir well to combine with mushrooms.
  5. Pour in soy sauce and cook for another 3-4 minutes until broccoli is tender-crisp.
  6. Drizzle with sesame oil if using, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Remove from heat and serve warm.
