Seafood Pasta in Creamy Sauce is a rich and elegant dish combining tender shrimp, scallops, and mussels tossed in a luscious garlic-parmesan cream sauce with perfectly cooked pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 6 oz scallops
  • 6 oz mussels, cleaned
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add shrimp and scallops; cook for 2–3 minutes until they start to turn opaque.
  4. Add mussels and pour in white wine. Cover and cook for 4–5 minutes until mussels open. Discard any that do not open.
  5. Reduce heat to low, stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer gently until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3–4 minutes.
  6. Season with red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper to taste.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute or add other seafood like squid or clams based on availability.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and smooth sauce texture.
  • Do not overcook the seafood to keep it tender.
