1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin
Salt and pepper to taste
4 tostada shells
2 ripe avocados
1 tablespoon lime juice
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup shredded lettuce
1/2 cup diced tomato
1/4 cup diced red onion
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Optional: sour cream, hot sauce, lime wedges for serving
Instructions
In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Set aside.
In another bowl, mash avocados with lime juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
Spread mashed avocado evenly over each tostada shell.
Top with shredded lettuce, shrimp, diced tomato, red onion, and cilantro.
Serve immediately with optional sour cream, hot sauce, and lime wedges.
Notes
Use pre-cooked shrimp for an even quicker prep.
