A delicious twist on classic deviled eggs, featuring creamy yolk filling mixed with smoked salmon and fresh herbs for a flavorful appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 oz smoked salmon, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Chives, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Drain and transfer eggs to an ice bath to cool completely.
  3. Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and place them in a bowl.
  4. Mash the yolks with a fork and mix in mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, smoked salmon, and fresh dill. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Spoon or pipe the filling back into the egg white halves.
  6. Garnish with chopped chives and extra dill if desired. Serve chilled.

  • Use high-quality smoked salmon for best flavor.
  • You can make the filling a day ahead and assemble just before serving.
  • Try adding a dash of hot sauce for extra kick.
