These Speedy Dumpling Stuffed Flatbreads are a clever fusion recipe made with frozen dumplings, warm flatbread, and a savory dipping sauce. Crispy on the outside and packed with juicy, flavorful filling inside, they’re perfect as a snack, lunch, or casual dinner. Minimal ingredients, big flavor — ready in no time!
12 frozen dumplings (any variety: chicken, veggie, pork)
2 large flour tortillas or flatbreads
2 tablespoons cooking oil (vegetable or sesame)
1 tablespoon water (for steaming)
Optional dipping sauce:
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
½ teaspoon sesame oil
½ teaspoon chili flakes or chili crisp
½ teaspoon honey (optional)
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
Add frozen dumplings in a single layer. Sear for 2–3 minutes until bottoms are golden.
Add 1 tablespoon of water, cover, and steam for another 3–4 minutes until heated through.
Remove dumplings and wipe out the skillet.
Place one flatbread in the pan. Add 6 dumplings, spacing them out evenly.
Top with the second flatbread, press down gently.
Cook 2–3 minutes per side, until golden and crisp.
Slice into wedges and serve hot with dipping sauce.
Works great with potstickers, gyoza, or any kind of frozen dumplings.
Add cheese or shredded veggies between the flatbreads for an extra layer.
You can also cook in the air fryer — 375°F for 5–7 minutes, flipping halfway.
