Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz tequila (silver or reposado)
  • 1 oz triple sec (or orange liqueur)
  • ¾ cup fresh mango chunks (or mango purée)
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
  • ½ oz agave syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
  • 23 jalapeño slices (adjust for spice level)
  • 34 ice cubes

For the Rim:

  • 1 tbsp Tajín or chili salt
  • 1 lime wedge

For Garnish:

  • Extra jalapeño slices
  • Fresh mango chunks
  • Lime wedge

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass – Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass, then dip in Tajín or chili salt. Fill with ice and set aside.
  2. Muddle the Jalapeño – In a cocktail shaker, muddle the jalapeño slices with lime juice and agave syrup to release the spicy flavor.
  3. Blend the Mango – If using fresh mango chunks, blend with 1 tbsp water until smooth. Skip this step if using mango purée.
  4. Shake It Up – Add tequila, triple sec, mango purée, and ice to the shaker. Shake well for 15-20 seconds.
  5. Strain & Serve – Strain into the prepared glass and garnish with jalapeño slices, a lime wedge, and fresh mango chunks.
  6. Enjoy! Sip and enjoy the sweet heat of this tropical margarita!

Notes

  • Want it spicier? Use more jalapeño slices or infuse tequila with jalapeños for extra heat.
  • Make it frozen! Blend all ingredients with 1 cup ice instead of shaking.
  • For a mocktail, replace tequila and triple sec with sparkling water or coconut water.
  • Store extra mango purée in the fridge for up to 3 days.
