The Spicy Pineapple Mezcal Margarita is a smoky, sweet, and fiery twist on the classic margarita. Featuring fresh pineapple juice, lime, mezcal, and a kick of jalapeño, this cocktail is bold, refreshing, and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces mezcal
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce pineapple juice
  • 1/2 ounce triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 1/2 ounce agave nectar or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 23 slices fresh jalapeño (plus more for garnish)
  • Ice
  • Tajin or chili powder and salt, for rimming the glass (optional)
  • Lime wedge and pineapple slice, for garnish

Instructions

  1. If desired, rim a glass with Tajin or chili salt by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it in the seasoning. Fill with ice.
  2. In a shaker, muddle jalapeño slices with lime juice and agave nectar.
  3. Add mezcal, pineapple juice, triple sec, and ice. Shake well until chilled.
  4. Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
  5. Garnish with a slice of jalapeño, lime wedge, and/or pineapple slice. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by using more or fewer jalapeño slices.
  • For a smoother texture, double strain to remove jalapeño bits and pulp.
  • Use fresh pineapple juice for the best flavor.
