This creamy and cheesy Spinach Artichoke Dip is a crowd-pleasing appetizer, perfect for parties or game days. Packed with tender spinach, tangy artichokes, and melted cheese, it’s a warm and indulgent dish that’s easy to prepare and serve.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (250 g) fresh spinach, chopped (or 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained)
  • 1 cup (150 g) canned or jarred artichoke hearts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup (115 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) sour cream
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) mayonnaise
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional toppings:

  • Extra mozzarella or Parmesan cheese for sprinkling
  • Red pepper flakes for a spicy kick

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a small baking dish or an oven-safe skillet.
  2. Prepare the mixture:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth.
    • Stir in the minced garlic, onion powder, mozzarella, Parmesan, chopped spinach, and artichokes. Mix until evenly combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Transfer to the baking dish:
    • Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle additional mozzarella or Parmesan on top if desired.
  4. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  5. Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, toasted baguette slices, or fresh vegetables.


Notes

  • For added flavor, mix in a pinch of smoked paprika or a teaspoon of hot sauce.
  • This dip can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. Bake just before serving.
  • Use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise for a lighter version.
