These festive Star-Spangled Brownies are rich, fudgy, and topped with patriotic red, white, and blue decorations, perfect for Fourth of July celebrations.

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup red, white, and blue sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate, melted (for drizzling)
  • Star-shaped candies or decorations

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder until well combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Let brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  8. Drizzle melted white chocolate over the top and sprinkle with red, white, and blue sprinkles.
  9. Add star-shaped candies or decorations before the chocolate sets.
  10. Cut into squares and serve.
