Star Spangled Kielbasa Bites are easy, flavorful skewered appetizers made with smoky kielbasa sausage and sweet pineapple chunks, perfect for patriotic gatherings and BBQs.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb kielbasa sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 1 can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • Red, white, and blue cocktail toothpicks or small skewers

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat a grill to medium-high.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, honey, and Dijon mustard.
  3. Thread one kielbasa slice and one pineapple chunk onto each skewer or toothpick.
  4. Brush each bite generously with the BBQ glaze.
  5. Place on a baking sheet lined with foil or grill-safe tray.
  6. Bake or grill for 10–12 minutes, turning once, until heated through and slightly caramelized.
  7. Serve warm with extra BBQ glaze for dipping if desired.

Notes

  • These bites can be assembled ahead of time and glazed just before cooking.
  • For extra char, broil for 2–3 minutes after baking.
  • Can also be made with turkey kielbasa or plant-based sausage for dietary needs.
