Stick of Butter Rice is a rich and flavorful side dish made with long-grain white rice, savory soups, and a whole stick of butter. Baked to perfection, this easy recipe creates a tender, buttery rice that pairs well with almost any main dish.

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice (uncooked)
  • 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed French onion soup
  • 1 (10.5-ounce) can beef broth
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, sliced into pats

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Combine Ingredients:

    • In an 8×8-inch baking dish, combine the uncooked rice, French onion soup, and beef broth.
    • Stir to mix well.
  3. Add Butter:

    • Evenly distribute the butter slices on top of the rice mixture.
  4. Bake Covered:

    • Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
    • Bake for 30 minutes.
  5. Bake Uncovered:

    • Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is fully absorbed.
  6. Fluff and Serve:

    • Fluff the rice with a fork and serve warm.
