Ingredients

Scale

For the Brownies:

  • 1 (15.25 oz/430 g) box strawberry cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Strawberry Glaze (Optional):

  • 1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry puree or milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pink food coloring (optional, for a vibrant glaze)

For Garnish (Optional):

  • Fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

Prepare the Brownies:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
  2. Mix the Batter:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until a thick, smooth batter forms.
  3. Spread in the Pan:
    • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  4. Bake:
    • Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Avoid overbaking to keep the brownies fudgy.
  5. Cool Completely:
    • Let the brownies cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely before glazing or cutting.

Prepare the Glaze:

  1. Mix the Glaze:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, strawberry puree (or milk), and vanilla extract. If desired, add a drop or two of pink food coloring. Adjust the consistency with more powdered sugar or liquid as needed.
  2. Glaze the Brownies:
    • Spread the glaze evenly over the cooled brownies. Allow it to set for 15–20 minutes before slicing.

Slice and Serve:

  1. Cut into Squares:
    • Slice the brownies into squares or rectangles.
  2. Garnish:
    • Top with fresh strawberry slices or sprinkles if desired. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make It Extra Chewy: Add 1/4 cup of melted white chocolate to the batter for extra richness.
  • Storage: Store the brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • Add Chocolate Chips: Fold in white chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips for a fun twist.
