Strawberry Margaritas are a fruity twist on the classic Mexican cocktail, combining fresh strawberries, tequila, lime juice, and a touch of sweetness. Served frozen or on the rocks, they’re a vibrant and refreshing drink perfect for warm weather.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries, hulled
  • 1/2 cup tequila (blanco preferred)
  • 1/4 cup triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 23 tablespoons simple syrup or agave nectar (to taste)
  • 12 cups ice (for frozen version)
  • Salt or sugar, for rimming the glass (optional)
  • Strawberry or lime wedge, for garnish

Instructions

  1. If desired, rim the glasses with salt or sugar by running a lime wedge around the edge and dipping in the chosen garnish.
  2. In a blender, combine strawberries, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, sweetener, and ice. Blend until smooth and slushy.
  3. Pour into prepared glasses and garnish with a strawberry or lime wedge.
  4. For an on-the-rocks version, muddle strawberries and shake all ingredients with ice, then strain into glasses over fresh ice.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness based on the ripeness of the strawberries.
  • Use frozen strawberries for a thicker, slushy consistency without needing as much ice.
  • Add a splash of club soda for a lighter, fizzy version.
