  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: Make the Dough

  1. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
  2. Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.

Step 3: Shape & Coat the Cookies

  1. Scoop out 1-inch balls of dough and roll them in granulated sugar for extra crunch.
  2. Place cookies 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Flatten slightly with a fork or the bottom of a glass for an extra crispy texture.

Step 4: Bake & Cool

  1. Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
  2. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
