Ingredients
Scale
4 beef hot dogs
4 hot dog buns
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup salsa
1 avocado, diced
1/4 cup chopped red onion
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 jalapeño, sliced (optional)
1 tablespoon sour cream (optional)
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
Preheat the grill or stovetop pan over medium heat.
Cook the hot dogs for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until evenly heated and slightly charred.
While hot dogs are cooking, warm the buns on the grill or microwave for about 30 seconds.
Place each cooked hot dog in a bun.
Top with shredded cheddar cheese while the hot dogs are still hot so it melts slightly.
Add salsa, diced avocado, chopped red onion, and cilantro on top of each hot dog.
If desired, add jalapeño slices and a drizzle of sour cream for extra flavor.
Serve immediately while warm.
Notes
Use turkey or veggie dogs for a healthier alternative.
Adjust the heat by adding more or less jalapeños.
Serve with tortilla chips and guacamole for a full Tex-Mex experience.
