  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (sweet or smoked)

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  • Mix the Seasoning:
    • In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients. Mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.
  • Season the Steak:
    • Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Generously coat both sides of the steak with the seasoning blend, pressing it into the meat. Let it sit at room temperature for 20–30 minutes before cooking to enhance the flavor.
  • Cook to Perfection:
    • Grill, broil, or pan-sear the steak to your desired doneness, using a meat thermometer for accuracy.
    • Rest the steak for 5–10 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
