This Fall Punch is a delicious mix of apple cider, cranberry juice, citrus, and warm spices. It’s perfect for autumn gatherings, Thanksgiving, or cozy nights by the fire. Serve it chilled or warm, and add a splash of bourbon or rum for an adult-friendly version!

  • 2 cups cranberry juice (100% juice, not cocktail)
  • 2 cups orange juice (fresh or store-bought)
  • 1 cup ginger ale (or sparkling water for less sweetness)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (or 2 cinnamon sticks)
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon allspice (optional)
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup fresh cranberries (optional, for garnish)
  • 23 star anise (optional, for extra spice)
  • Ice, for serving

Optional Alcohol Add-Ins

  • 1 ½ cups bourbon, rum, or spiced whiskey
  • 1 cup prosecco or champagne (for a bubbly kick)


Instructions

  1. Mix the punch:

    • In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine apple cider, cranberry juice, orange juice, and ginger ale.
    • Stir in maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice until well mixed.
  2. Add fruit & chill:

    • Stir in apple slices, orange slices, and fresh cranberries.
    • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld.
  3. Serve & enjoy:

    • Fill glasses with ice and pour the punch over.
    • Garnish with extra fruit slices, a cinnamon stick, or a star anise.
  4. Make it warm (optional):

    • Heat the punch in a slow cooker on low for 2-3 hours or on the stovetop over medium heat for 15-20 minutes.
