Ingredients
Scale
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup hot sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot or your favorite brand)
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Combine the Ingredients:
In a medium saucepan, combine the honey, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, garlic powder, cayenne pepper (if using), and black pepper.
Cook the Sauce:
Heat the saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture begins to simmer.
Simmer to Blend Flavors:
Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer gently for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
Cool and Store:
Remove the sauce from the heat and let it cool. Transfer to a clean jar or bottle and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
Adjust the heat level by adding more or less cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
This sauce is versatile—use it as a glaze for ribs, wings, or shrimp, or drizzle it over sandwiches and tacos.
For a smokier flavor, add a dash of smoked paprika or liquid smoke.
