Tiger Sauce is a sweet and spicy sauce with a hint of tang, perfect for glazing meats, dipping, or adding a zesty kick to your favorite dishes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot or your favorite brand)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine the Ingredients:
    • In a medium saucepan, combine the honey, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, garlic powder, cayenne pepper (if using), and black pepper.
  2. Cook the Sauce:
    • Heat the saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture begins to simmer.
  3. Simmer to Blend Flavors:
    • Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer gently for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
  4. Cool and Store:
    • Remove the sauce from the heat and let it cool. Transfer to a clean jar or bottle and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • Adjust the heat level by adding more or less cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
  • This sauce is versatile—use it as a glaze for ribs, wings, or shrimp, or drizzle it over sandwiches and tacos.
  • For a smokier flavor, add a dash of smoked paprika or liquid smoke.
